The Shan- Nama is the , " Book of Kings" probably begun in 1522 by Shan Isma'il as a present for his eldest son , Prince Tahmasp . This is illustrated by 10 plates showing the court and other scenes They are in beautiful colours and the illuminations are dazzling. The colour reproduction is good for the times (especially for its inexpensive price) The text is informative.
